How it actually goes.
Furniture is the job most people put off longest, because it is the one that actually needs two people and a plan. A sectional has to come apart to leave a basement. A dresser has to go down a turned staircase. A sleeper sofa weighs what it weighs. We take it out of the room it is in, through the doors it came in through, and nothing needs to be moved to the curb first.
The patio set at the top of this page is a typical one: a full wicker set with its cushions, sitting on a back deck. Indoor or outdoor, one piece or a whole house of it, the price is based on what is going and set before anybody arrives.
Furniture in good condition does not always have to be thrown away. That patio set was, and it went on to a new home rather than to the tip. What cannot be reused goes to the transfer station with the rest of the load. And if new furniture is arriving at the same time, we assemble that as well.
