How it actually goes.

A cleanout is a different job from a pickup. It is every room, every closet and every box, and it usually lands on somebody at a hard time: a parent moving into care, an estate to settle, tenants gone and a property to turn around, or a house that has simply filled up over the years. The room at the top of this page is one of those, stacked to the ceiling before anything moved.

You do not have to sort it first. Walk through once and point at what stays, and everything else is bagged, carried out and loaded. If there is anything you want kept, such as paperwork, photographs or a piece somebody in the family wants, say so before we start and it stays out of the van.

Bigger cleanouts are priced off photographs, and the number is set before the work starts. For landlords and agents, say when the property has to be clear by and the job gets planned around that.
